Launch of ‘GiGA IoT Home Premium Pack’ with Samsung SDS
Introducing home IoT total care service for apartment complexes such as APT/multi-family/villa/officetel

KT announced that it has launched the 'GiGA IoT Home Premium Pack', a home IoT total care service perfect for apartment complexes, multi-family homes, villas, and officetels, together with Samsung SDS.

The recently launched 'GiGA IoT Home Premium Pack' is a service that allows video calls with visitors and remote door opening while you are out by linking the wall pad installed in each household with your smartphone. In particular, when you are away from home for a long period of time, you can monitor with your smartphone whether there are any suspicious people in the house or hallways, and if there is an intrusion into the house, you can automatically record the interior through the camera on the wall pad.

Other IoT devices such as door locks, gas safety devices, open/close detectors, motion detectors, tilt detectors, and smart buttons can be linked to notify you in real time via your smartphone in the event of an emergency, allowing you to respond immediately to various accidents such as break-ins or health problems.

In addition, it provides a differentiated service that notifies the family's return home status via smartphone, allows real-time access information to be checked, and sends a notification message to the smartphone in case of abnormal entry/exit times or long-term absence through access pattern analysis.

'GiGA IoT Home Premium Pack' can be used by up to 4 people including the user, and the service fee is 5,500 won per month (including VAT, for customers of other telecommunication companies), but KT Internet customers can use it for 4,400 won per month (including VAT).

However, since the service is currently available for apartment complexes such as APTs, the purchase price and installation cost of IoT devices are separate, and since it is a service provided without a contract, customers can use it without burden. We plan to provide services to individual customers in the future.

'GiGA IoT Home Premium Pack' is a home IoT package that provides optimal service to customers by linking KT's IoTMakers platform and Samsung SDS's HMS (Home Management Solution) to provide IoT device access/management, data storage/analysis, authentication/subscription/billing, etc.

KT Home IoT Business Division Managing Director Kim Geun-young said, “Through the joint home IoT business collaboration between KT and Samsung SDS, we have been able to present a more convenient and differentiated IoT convergence service for apartment complexes.” He added, “In the future, the two companies plan to work together to apply IoT services to CCTVs, vehicle access controllers, and unmanned delivery boxes used in common in apartment complexes, as well as expand the range of IoT devices that can be used in homes.”
