Kaminario, a company specializing in all-flash storage, announced ‘Kaminario Clarity,’ a cloud-based analytics platform.

Kaminario Clarity is optimized for on-demand apps and will expand the capabilities of the Kaminario K2 all-flash array, which increases productivity across IT environments, to include application-level intelligence, machine learning, and big data analytics.

This enables Kaminario customers to more productively manage their all-flash storage environments and deliver peak performance to critical business applications. Kaminario Clarity simplifies enterprise IT infrastructure management by approaching the data center stack—compute, network, and storage—from a single perspective. Kaminario Clarity collects information from all stacks involved in application delivery.



It can also provide application-aware data services that require rich information such as QoS (Quality of Service). Kaminario Clarity also provides insights into tasks that significantly impact business productivity, improved user experience, and cost reduction, such as workload placement, performance tuning, fabric configuration, and database optimization, using machine learning technology.

Commenting on the Clarity announcement, Shachar Fienblit, Kaminario CTO, said, “Enterprise IT and storage management are complex, especially when it comes to managing functions that are separate from storage resources, such as QoS. Kaminario Clarity enables organizations to manage data across their IT infrastructure.

Kaminario anticipates significant synergy between Clarity and the K2 All-Flash Array. The Kaminario K2 All-Flash Array delivers the performance, agility, scalability, and economics required by increasingly uncertain enterprise IT environments. Kaminario Clarity will further strengthen Kaminario's market leadership in providing all-flash storage ideally suited for on-demand application environments. Kaminario Clarity will enable application-level intelligence and analytics within a cloud-based management environment. Kaminario Clarity also provides optimization utilities in the cloud for application providers.

Regarding the Clarity announcement, Jun-Hwan Kwak, CEO of Kaminario Korea, said, “The predictive analytics platform is one of the areas where the all-flash storage industry is fiercely competing. Kaminario plans to officially offer Clarity to customers starting in the first quarter of 2017.
