Renesas Launches "Renesas Synergy™ Platform" Bringing Innovation to Embedded Systems

Accordingly, developers can freely download and evaluate software that has been verified to interoperate with the latest version of SSP at any time, and can skip the step of individually arranging and contacting software vendors, thus freeing them from the work of porting such software to specific hardware. In addition, partner companies can provide various software products as VSAs and receive evaluations from Renesas Synergy Gallery users around the world.

2. Renesas Synergy Microcontroller

• Rich widgets and themes
• Customizable base colors and line drawing styles
• Automatically generates C code based on the GUIX™ runtime library
• Ability to read font creation tools, PNG, JPEG, etc. and convert to GUIX™ pixel maps

GUIX™ UI applications run in the GUIX™ environment on your PC and allow for quick and easy creation and demo of UI concepts, screen flow testing, and inspection of screen movement and animation.

4. Renesas Synergy™ Kit Types

Development Kits(DK)
The DK is ready for all Renesas Synergy™ microcontrollers. It provides access to all terminals and functions of the microcontroller and can be used for various purposes such as performance evaluation of the device, current consumption measurement, and development of application software until the target board is developed. All DKs are equipped with an on-board J-Link debugger and a Bluetooth Low Energy module. And the DK guarantees the operation of the SSP.

Starter Kits(SK)
SK covers almost all the key features of the Renesas Synergy™ platform and offers high value at a reasonable price. SK is suitable for customers who do not yet have an image of a specific application or development device, and is good to use when you want to experience the Renesas Synergy™ platform at a minimal cost. Almost all terminal connections are possible, and expansion is possible with the Pmod TM connector and Arduino TM .



5. Renesas Synergy Gallery

Renesas Electronics Korea has opened a cloud environment where users of the Renesas Synergy platform can download and receive support for various software development environments. Users can access the Renesas Synergy Gallery and easily register as users to obtain and download various certifications for Renesas Synergy software and development environments including e2studio ISDE. In addition, various user support tools including online user manuals are also provided in the gallery.

By offering the Renesas Synergy platform along with its existing semiconductor devices, Renesas plans to promote the development of system devices for companies with limited design resources or time that focus on the application/service layer, and accelerate their entry into the IoT and embedded device markets, thereby contributing to the expansion and activation of the market.
