Samsung SDS expands global market with its logistics solution, Cello, a SaaS platform.

Samsung SDS has launched Cello, its integrated logistics solution, as a cloud-based SaaS (Software as a Service) platform and is expanding into the global market.
Samsung SDS (CEO Yoo-Sung Chung) unveiled for the first time logistics and SCM (supply chain management) services provided in the form of SaaS in a cloud environment at the 'Cello Tech Fair 2016' event held at Samsung SDS West Campus on the 6th.
SaaS is a service-type software that is gaining attention in the IT industry due to its many advantages, such as avoiding infrastructure investment and management burden by renting the software customers want in the form of a service rather than purchasing it directly and owning it.
Samsung SDS announced at this event that it will provide the Cello solution, which has been proven through the logistics outsourcing business (BPO) of leading domestic and international clients, in the form of SaaS, allowing customers to use the Cello solution conveniently and at a competitive price.
New domestic and international customers can reduce the burden of initial IT infrastructure investment by using the newly announced Cello SaaS, and can also enjoy the advantage of stable use of the proven Cello solution, which enables optimal logistics delivery through the application of big data analysis technology.
Samsung SDS will be participating in the 'Cello Tech Fair 2020'At the 16th event, the track was divided into two themes: Smart Logistics and Smart SCM, and various advanced cloud-based logistics services were showcased.
Cello's Loading Optimization service helps customers load products into warehouses in the most efficient manner possible, tailored to their business needs.
Additionally, the Cello Virtual Warehouse System allows you to overcome the limitations of space and time by creating a real-world logistics warehouse using 3D virtual reality.
Machine learning-based SaaS SCM services utilize customer sales data to analyze future demand information and customer-managed forecast information to identify sales risks and opportunities.
Cello Agile Planning services provide customers with an integrated solution covering the entire SCM spectrum from demand entry to execution, enabling them to respond nimbly to rapidly changing business environments.
“With the Cello solution being provided in SaaS format, we expect that a wide range of customers will be able to easily and quickly experience logistics services based on the latest IT technology,” said Shin Woo-yong, managing director of Samsung SDS’s SL business division.

Samsung SDS Provides IoT Platform Services to SMEs
Samsung SDS is strengthening IoT support for small and medium-sized enterprises. Samsung SDS (CEO Jung Yu-sung) announced on the 30th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Electronics and Information and Communications Industry Promotion Agency (KEA, Chairman Kwon Oh-hyun) to support IoT (Internet of Things) for small and medium-sized enterprises. KEA established the Electronics IoT Collaboration Center last year and has been supporting domestic small and medium-sized enterprises in developing convergence new products based on IoT.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers.
