Product Announced Featuring 6 Types of 'Chip Scale Packages' and Freely Adjustable Color Temperature
Enhanced product compatibility through adoption of Zhaga standard specifications, LM80 reliability testing completed

Samsung Electronics has unveiled its first LED module for spot lighting featuring an ultra-small 'chip scale package'.

Suitable for downlights and architectural indoor lighting, this product line consists of a total of six types depending on light output and color control.

Among this lineup, the color-tunable product achieves the desired color temperature by sequentially arranging ultra-small 'chip-scale packages' with different color temperatures (CCT) on a module substrate and then varying the output between the packages.

The 'Color Tunable' lineup is a product that maximizes the advantages of ultra-small 'chip scale packages' and enables smoother color adjustment compared to conventional plastic packages.

The size of the LED module board can be reduced by more than 50%. The LED module for spot lighting, utilizing a 'chip scale package,' adopts the Zhaga standard to enhance component compatibility for lighting fixture manufacturers and can be directly applied to existing optical components, enabling the provision of various beam angles.

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics' 'Chip Scale Package' has completed LM80 testing, enabling lighting fixture manufacturers to use Samsung's new module in their lighting products Since no separate testing is required when applied, it reduces the time required for customers to launch products into the market by at least 6 months.
