Operation of a GeForce VR experience center implemented with the latest technology based on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
A rich on-site program has been prepared, including NVIDIA Ansel View/Capture and GeForce Esports Zone Overwatch matches.

NVIDIA (www.nvidia.co.kr, Country Manager Lee Yong-deok) is operating a GeForce VR Experience and various programs featuring the latest VR (virtual reality) technology under the theme of 'Game Ready' at G-Star 2016, the largest domestic game show held at BEXCO in Busan from the 17th to the 20th, offering a new dimension of content experience to domestic gamers visiting the NVIDIA booth.

The 'GeForce VR Experience Hall,' considered the most anticipated attraction at G-Star this year following last year, will be filled with the latest VR technology based on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 and various content. In the two Oculus Rift halls, the virtual reality games 'The Unspoken' and 'Robo Recall' are scheduled to be demonstrated.

In the HTC Vive booth, visitors can experience the 'VR Fun House,' powered by the NVIDIA Pascal architecture. NVIDIA plans to further strengthen its leadership in the VR sector, driven by its powerful GPU technology, by showcasing the latest VR technologies and content to Korean gamers.

The 'GeForce VR Experience Hall' will be open daily during G-Star (from the 17th to the 20th), from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM, inside the NVIDIA booth. Visitors to the NVIDIA booth can experience the booth by making a reservation on a first-come, first-served basis at the registration desk set up in front of the experience hall, twice a day from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

NVIDIA plans to provide conveniences for visitors to experience the best VR content, such as distributing cards with the reservation time to those who made reservations and sending a text message to their mobile phones 30 minutes before the experience begins to minimize congestion expected due to the high popularity of the experience center.

Strengthening its position in the VR industry by showcasing game content powered by the latest technology

The 'GeForce GTX Gaming PC & NOTEBOOK Zone' will also be operated to deliver a fantastic gaming experience through desktop PCs equipped with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 and laptops equipped with the GeForce GTX 10 series. Visitors to the 'GeForce GTX Gaming PC & NOTEBOOK Zone' can experience firsthand NVIDIA's 'Ansel View & Capture' technology, which supports artistic-level game screen capture based on the Pascal architecture. Additionally, the 'Custom PC Zone' will showcase art-level custom PCs tuned by NVIDIA fans who applied and were selected in advance online.

This year, the 'GeForce eSports Zone' will host matches for the popular game 'Overwatch,' which has been dominating the market just one month after its release. The 6:6 match, in which former pro gamer and commentator Han Seung-yeop and current pro gamers Jeon Hyeon-seok and Park Jin-young participate to form teams with five on-site applicants each to compete, is garnering the most anticipation.

In addition to this, various types of matches based on on-site pre-registration and participation by visitors to the NVIDIA booth are scheduled to take place, including team matches between general participants within the NVIDIA booth accompanied by fun and lively commentary from Han Seung-yup, Yoo Dae-hyun, and Park Jin-young, as well as team matches between Team NVIDIA and general participants. Furthermore, at this year's GeForce eSports Zone, a student team from the Department of Game Engineering at Korea University of Technology and Science, selected by the University eSports Club Association to support NVIDIA, will participate in Overwatch matches as well as provide one-point Overwatch coaching for visitors to the NVIDIA booth and the 'GeForce eSports Zone'.

In addition, a rich program of main stage events has been prepared. There will be a venue to share and enjoy knowledge related to GeForce products and technologies through the 'GeForce Quiz Challenge,' which anyone visiting the booth can participate in; a 'Stamp Tour' where visitors collect stamps by touring various zones within the NVIDIA booth and the partner (Webzen) NVIDIA zone; and a 'Lucky Draw' featuring the best prizes ever, including the GeForce GTX 1060, GeForce GTX 1070, and GeForce GTX 1080.
