Cisco Korea to Actively Foster Software Developers Domestically

Cisco Korea (CEO Cho Beom-gu) has announced plans to actively foster software developers in the domestic market. Cisco Korea will organize developer communities in its key business areas of collaboration, security, data center, and enterprise network, and operate various developer training programs including open API education and hackathons.
Starting with collaboration community activities launched in the second half of this year, Cisco Korea plans to expand the scale and target scope to security, data center, and network technology fields in the first half of next year, regularly hosting online and offline API education and discussions. Developers will be provided free access to various tools necessary for software development, including open APIs in ACI•SDN, collaboration, security, and IoT fields, as well as software development kits (SDKs) and code samples.
Additionally, educational programs are provided to help customers and partners develop software that integrates with Cisco products by utilizing Cisco's open APIs. Cisco's API education is distinguished by offering not only curricula specialized in collaboration, security, data center, and network fields, but also integrated curricula that enable developing solutions through organic interoperability across these technologies without boundaries.
On the 2nd, 'Hack Camp 2016' was held at the Cisco Innovation Center located in Songdo, Incheon for API education in collaboration and network fields, attracting approximately 150 students, startups, and partners who responded enthusiastically. In April next year, integrated education covering collaboration, security, data center, and network sectors will be conducted.
Additionally, hackathon events will be held to develop new solutions and test skills. From December 8th to February 22nd, an online hackathon for Asia-Pacific developers with participation from Cisco offices in Korea, Japan, and Australia will be held, with the grand prize winner receiving up to 15 million won. In the first half of next year, an offline hackathon will be held in Korea, with mentoring from Cisco engineers provided to all participants.
In 2014, Cisco established DevNet (https://developer.cisco.com), a portal hub that provides application development resources and online community spaces to developers as part of its global eco partnership program. Cisco has been supporting developers, customers, and partners worldwide to develop new solutions utilizing Cisco's technology and create new business opportunities.

Cisco announced a cloud-based Cisco security portfolio based on threat-centric security architecture on the 11th (local time) at the 'Cisco Live 2016' event currently underway in Las Vegas, USA. With a distinctive architecture in terms of integration, automation, and simplicity, Cisco's structural architectural approach spanning from network to endpoints and cloud enables detection of more threats and supports threat remediation within 17 hours. Considering that the industry average threat remediation time is approximately 100 days, this represents a dramatic reduction in the required timeframe.

SalePoint Signs Multi-Year Partnership Agreement with AWS… Promoting Identity Security that Integrates Even AI Agents
Sailpoint has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with AWS and is moving forward with establishing an integrated governance system that manages both human and non-human identities together. Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
