Samsung Electronics will launch the 2017 Galaxy A5, targeting the younger generation, as its first smartphone of the year on the 19th.

The 2017 Galaxy A5 features differentiated camera capabilities, a unique design, and excellent water and dust resistance. Equipped with 16-megapixel cameras with an F1.9 aperture on both the front and rear, it allows for taking clear photos even in dark environments. In particular, it enables selfies using a selfie flash function that produces lighting effects using the display as a light source.

In addition, you can take photos with a floating camera button that allows you to move the camera shooting button freely within the screen, and a UI that allows you to select shooting modes and 16 filters with just a swipe gesture.

The 2017 Galaxy A5 supports IP68 water and dust resistance and allows you to securely use Samsung Pay with fingerprint recognition. In terms of design, it offers a comfortable grip with a rear 3D curved glass and metal frame, and features a sleek design without a protruding camera.

Samsung Electronics will operate the '2017 Galaxy A Lounging,' a product experience space with a lounging concept, at Coffee Smith in Hongdae from the 19th to the 26th of this month.

The 2017 Galaxy A5 will be released through the three major mobile carriers in three colors: Black Sky, Blue Mist, and Peach Cloud, with a retail price of 548,900 won.
