The video radio service is a service that transmits video of the scene along with audio during radio calls using the LTE radio RADGER. It provides three video radio functions, including 'video radio call', 'video sharing', and 'video relay', and allows radio communication while viewing video of the scene in emergency situations.

'Video radio communication' is a feature that transmits video and audio simultaneously whenever the radio button is pressed, while 'video sharing' allows for the continuous transmission of on-site video like a CCTV with just a single press of the button, which is expected to enhance crisis response capabilities in urgent tasks such as building security, highway accident handling, and patient transport.

In addition, 'Video Relay,' independently developed by KT Powertel, is a service that utilizes the radio control system 'Dispatcher' to transmit real-time video sent from the field to the LTE radio 'Razer.'

Public institutions performing disaster and emergency-related duties are showing high interest as it allows for the simultaneous sharing of real-time on-site video with staff in charge and officials from related agencies, enabling rapid and efficient response to situations.

Moon Ho-won, CEO of KT Powertel, emphasized, “With a video radio service that transmits high-quality on-site video in real time, faster and more accurate responses will be possible in emergency situations where every second counts,” adding, “We plan to continuously develop various radio solutions based on the LTE radio ‘Razer’ to enhance efficiency at work sites.”

Meanwhile, KT Powertel holds the No. 1 position in the corporate communication market through radio convergence solutions that customers need. The plan is to continue protecting it.
