Infineon Joins 5GAA to Provide Key Autonomous Vehicle Technologies
Published2017.04.18 15:52The 5GAA aims to introduce new communication solutions that enable connected autonomous driving and intelligent transportation systems. Infineon plans to provide key technologies required for 5G, autonomous vehicles, and e-mobility.
Peter Schipper, President of Infineon’s Automotive business unit, said, “Secure communication with near-zero latency is essential for innovative autonomous driving. Infineon works closely with the automotive industry and IT companies to provide communication solutions that leverage advanced semiconductors, systems, and security expertise.”
"We are pleased that Infineon has joined the 5GAA. Infineon will be able to make good use of the expertise it has built in automotive electronics, data security, and mobile communications," said Dino Flore, General Director of the 5GAA.

SK텔레콤, BMW 벤츠 설립 5G 자동차협회에 합류
SK텔레콤은 글로벌 통신 자동차들이 미래 자동차에 적용될 5G 기술 및 서비스를 연구하기 위해 설립한 ‘5G 자동차협회(5GAA, 5G Automotive Association)’에 국내 업체로는 첫 가입했다고 밝혔다. 올해 9월 설립된 ‘5GAA’는 독일 자동차 3사인 BMW?벤츠?아우디 등 자동차사와 통신?네트워크장비?칩셋 분야의 글로벌 업체 8곳으로 출발했으며, 이번에 SK텔레콤과 도이치텔레콤?발레오(자동차 부품) 3개사가 추가로 참여했다.

인더스트리 4.0, 자율차, 스마트홈...문제는 보안이다
인피니언 테크놀로지스는 인더스트리 4.0 이나 자율주행차, 스마트 홈 솔루션 등 고가의 커넥티드 제품을 위해서는 업데이트 가능한 보안 메커니즘이 필요해 보안 메커니즘을 개발하고 검증하는 ALESSIO 연구 프로젝트를 선도한다고 밝혔다. 이 프로젝트에는 AISEC(프라운호퍼 응용 통합 보안 연구소), Giesecke & Devrient, Siemens, 뮌헨 공과대학(TUM)과 카를스루에에 소재한 WIBU-SYSTEMS가 참여하고 있다. 2019년 말까지 진행하며, 독일 연방 교육연구부(BMBF)에서 약 390만 유로의 자금을 지원한다.

Infineon Launches Automation Kit to Reduce Development Time
Infineon Technologies has introduced development kits that can shorten development time to three months. The kits are the XMC4300 Relax EtherCAT kit and XMC4800 EtherCAT automation kit. Both kits have passed EtherCAT certification testing and are currently being supplied. The XMC4300 and XMC4800 microcontrollers with integrated EtherCAT nodes are suitable for use in factory automation, I/O modules, and robotics. All XMC4800 microcontrollers meet AEC Q100 standards, making them also suitable for use in commercial, construction, and agricultural vehicles.

Texas Instruments가 HEV·EV 트랙션 인버터용 다축 코어리스 홀 효과 전류 센서 TMCS2100-Q1을 공개했다. 수평·수직 자기장을 동시에 측정하는 다축 센싱 기술로 기존 단일 축 센서 대비 최대 20배 높은 정확도를 달성하며, 버스바 무개조 설계로 기계 설계 유연성을 확보했다. 800V 아키텍처 확산에 따른 고정확도 요구 충족과 소형화를 동시에 구현한다.
