Samsung Electronics held the 'QLED Forum' in Frankfurt, Germany, showcasing Samsung QLED TV technology.

This 'QLED Forum' was a place to introduce the core technologies of QLED TV to European technology media, and shared the TV market trends that are shifting from picture quality debate to lifestyle products and the future direction of TV development.



Samsung Electronics demonstrated the color volume test, a new standard that measures picture quality that changes depending on screen brightness, through its QLED TV, rather than the existing picture quality evaluation method that cannot confirm a decrease in color expression.

“Color volume will be one of the most important picture quality criteria in the display industry this year,” said picture quality expert Marcel Gonska, adding that “QLED TV has taken the evaluation of TV picture quality from two dimensions to three dimensions.”

A Samsung Electronics official said, “We held this forum to increase understanding of QLED TV technology and to widely publicize its excellence,” and added, “We will demonstrate the excellence of Samsung QLED TVs through specialized media outlets specializing in core technologies and use this as a springboard to further strengthen our strategy in the European market.”
