Illegal parking monitoring, fire/sound detection through IoT sensor integration

KT announced that it will pilot the intelligent video security service 'GiGAeyes' at the 'Beomeo Intersection Seohanidaum' model house that opened in Daegu on the 12th and will support the construction of smart apartments in the future.

GigaEyes, a service that enables video surveillance via high-definition CCTV, cutting-edge video analysis, and integrated control based on IoT convergence, is scheduled to launch in the third quarter of this year. Visitors to the model house can experience GigaEyes' cutting-edge, converged control service at a dedicated KT promotional booth.

When applied to apartment complexes, KT's proprietary video analysis engine automatically detects intruders in vulnerable areas, such as walls and rooftops, via CCTV and notifies the control center. It also enables monitoring of illegal parking and fire and sound detection through IoT sensor integration. Unlike conventional CCTV systems that are used for simple surveillance, real-time monitoring allows for the prevention of safety accidents within the complex, allowing residents to live more comfortably and safely.

KT, in cooperation with the developer KT Estate, has completed a contract to build GigaEyes in the Gaya Centerville apartment complex in Busan, and plans to apply the GigaEyes solution to apartment complexes supplied by KT Estate in the future, solidifying its position as a leader in building safe apartments.

Song Jae-ho, head of KT's Integrated Security Business Division, said, "We will provide customers with safer and more differentiated video security services through GigaEyes, which combines KT's intelligent video analysis technology, best-in-class network infrastructure, and platform construction capabilities." He added, "We plan to expand collaboration with various industries, starting with construction companies."
