LG Electronics is launching the LG TONE+ FREE (model name HBS-F110), a completely wireless Bluetooth headset that eliminates the neckband and earbud wires, in Korea.

It is the first product to apply a Code-Free design that completely eliminates wires to the distinctive neckband style of the LG Tone Plus series, and was unveiled at CES 2017 held earlier this year.

Cordless Bluetooth headsets have recently garnered significant attention as they allow users to make calls or listen to music simply by wearing the earbuds, without the hassle of cumbersome wires. However, they had drawbacks, such as the small size of the earbuds making them easy to lose, and the fact that they would turn off while stored in a separate charging case, making it inconvenient to answer a sudden call.



The LG Tone Plus Free overcomes limitations by combining a neckband and cord-free functionality. This product allows you to store and charge the earbuds by inserting them into the neckband worn around the neck. Even while charging via the neckband, it maintains standby mode connected to a smartphone, allowing you to use it immediately when a call comes in and receive vibration notifications.

This product can be used for up to 3 hours with the earbuds alone and up to 7.2 hours when combined with the neckband. Standby time is also up to 82 hours with the earbuds alone and up to 196 hours when combined with the neckband. The price is 239,000 won.
