Terrestrial UHD reception kit released to coincide with the start of terrestrial UHD main broadcasting

Samsung Electronics accelerated its push into the premium TV market on the 29th by launching a 75-inch model, a large-sized lineup of QLED TVs. Following the U.S. and Europe, the company released two 75-inch QLED TV models in Korea: the flat 'Q7' and the curved 'Q8'.

In line with the trend toward larger TVs, the range of choices for consumers has been expanded with a diverse lineup that adds a 75-inch model to the existing 55-inch and 65-inch QLED TVs. Utilizing Metal Quantum Dot technology, it boasts 100% Color Volume, capable of perfectly reproducing colors even when screen brightness changes. The 1.8mm transparent optical cable, 'Invisible Connection,' organizes the tangled cables connected to the TV. Furthermore, it offers the convenience of a smart TV with the 'One Remote,' which allows users to control connected peripherals with a single remote.

The newly released Samsung QLED TVs, the 75-inch 'Q7' and 'Q8', are priced at 10.4 million won and 11.9 million won, respectively. Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics has released a 'Terrestrial UHD Receiver Kit' that allows direct reception of terrestrial UHD broadcasts ahead of the world's first terrestrial Ultra High Definition (UHD) broadcast starting on the 31st. It is applicable to Samsung UHD TVs from 2013 to 2016, and the price is 69,000 won.

Kim Moon-soo, Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, said, “We will further expand our market share in the global premium TV market with the newly launched 75-inch model, following the 55-inch and 65-inch QLED TVs.”
