Supports high load current applications with easy parallel connection

Vicor announced that it has added the PI3526-00-LGIZ to its 48V (30-60Vin) input Cool-Power ZVS buck-boost regulator family.

The PI352x is a solution that provides higher current than the existing PI354x portfolio, offering adjustable power options for 48V Direct-to-PoL applications. Mounted in a 10x14mm LGA SiP package, the PI3526-00-LGIZ is a 12V output regulator that provides voltages up to 18A.

The PI352x portfolio, which possesses all the industry-leading features of Vicor's existing 48V Cool-Power ZVS buck regulators, expands performance by being mounted in a package 40% larger while providing twice the power of the PI354x series regulators.

The PI3526-000-LGIZ requires only a single output inductor and minimal passive components for a perfectly cost-effective design using less than 740 ^mm² of PCB space. Designed to be easily connected in parallel with a combination of up to three regulators, the PI352x regulator is adjustable to support applications with higher load currents.

The PI352x product family meets the growing need for 48V Direct-to-PoL in various applications, including LED lighting, communications, automotive equipment, and data center applications. Cool-Power ZVS regulators enable high power density and high efficiency while remaining easy to use.
