NVIDIA Holds 'GeForce Day 2017', Diverse Events Prepared Again This Year

A festival for gamers is taking place.
NVIDIA announced that it will hold 'NVIDIA GEFORCE DAY 2017' on June 24 at the Woori Financial Art Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
NVIDIA GeForce Day is held annually to share the immersive and thrilling gaming experience of NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards with Korean gamers. To commemorate this event, NVIDIA plans to present a rich on-site program that includes various online pre-promotions, allowing gamers to participate and interact with enjoyment.
NVIDIA GeForce Day, which takes place for about 7 hours starting at 12 p.m. on the day of the event, consists of on-site events for GeForce experience set up in the lobby of Woori Financial Art Hall and main stage events held in the main performance hall.
The highly anticipated 'Overwatch GeForce Championship Finals,' which is garnering high expectations from gamers, will be held on the main stage starting at 3:20 PM. The final winner of the championship, which has been held for over 200 teams of Overwatch gamers nationwide, is expected to be determined. Notably, SPOTV Games commentators Yoo Dae-hyun and Ko In-kyu will serve as casters for this final match, promising to make the viewing experience even more exciting. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 and GeForce GTX 1060 graphics cards will be provided to all members of the final winning and runner-up teams, respectively.
At the 'GeForce Day 2017 Lucky Draw,' a prize event held after the finals, GeForce GTX 1070, 1080, and 1080 Ti graphics cards will be given away through a raffle. Anyone who participates in the GeForce experience event in the lobby—visiting the NVIDIA demos and partner booths to receive a visit verification stamp and attending the main stage event—is eligible to enter this giveaway. A total of 11 companies are also participating as partners in GeForce Day 2017.
GeForce Day 2017 is open to anyone who pre-registers, and pre-registration is conducted through the announcement on the event page within the NVIDIA Friends Community (forums.geforce.co.kr).

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
