Autodesk Hosts BIM Forum 2017 on the Theme of Connected BIM
Published2017.06.19 13:31Autodesk's 'Connected BIM' workflow offers easier ways to work and helps leverage new business opportunities and innovate. In particular, 'Connected BIM' manages risks in construction projects while maintaining high operational efficiency and quality by generating and analyzing vast amounts of data to enable better decision-making.
In particular, by managing drawings at construction sites through mobile technology, all records are reflected in the cloud in real time, allowing verification of when, who, what, and how tasks were performed; furthermore, work can be shared and collaborated on in real time anytime, anywhere through the cloud and connected data. In addition, Connected BIM provides a highly immersive 3D environment based on virtual reality (VR) technology.
"Connected BIM is an intelligent model-based cloud technology that integrates various fields such as design, construction, and operation into one," said Lim Min-soo, Senior Vice President of the Architecture, Construction, and Civil Engineering Division at Autodesk Korea. "Connected BIM enables collaboration and data sharing anytime, anywhere throughout the entire project lifecycle, helping to make superior decisions."
The BIM Forum 2017 will begin with a presentation on the era of intelligent BIM, followed by presentations on “The Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Future of the Construction Industry,” which predicts the impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on the architecture, construction, and civil engineering industries; “Connected Design, Connected Construction,” which introduces Revit 2018, Autodesk’s core BIM solution; and “Effective Civil Engineering Master Plan Establishment and Road Design Implementation,” which examines methods for implementing road design suitable for domestic standards using the latest version of Civil3D.
In addition, based on various case studies, we plan to present adoption strategies for the BIM field and future directions.

SalePoint Signs Multi-Year Partnership Agreement with AWS… Promoting Identity Security that Integrates Even AI Agents
Sailpoint has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with AWS and is moving forward with establishing an integrated governance system that manages both human and non-human identities together. Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
