Samsung Electronics is launching the 'QLED TV Stand Design Contest', the first design contest for TV accessories in the TV industry, to revitalize the TV accessory market.

Anyone can enter the contest, which runs until July 28, through the website of design media outlet Dezeen, submitting renderings and 3D sketches containing new ideas for TV stand design, as well as business plans utilizing them.

The contest awards ceremony will be held at IFA, Europe's largest consumer electronics show, in Berlin, Germany in September. The top five winning entries will be made into actual TV stands and specially exhibited at the Samsung Electronics booth at IFA. A total of 30,000 euros in prize money will be awarded to the 1st to 15th place winners.

Samsung Electronics declared the "era of lifestyle TV" this year with the launch of QLED TV and The Frame, removing restrictions on TV installation with transparent optical cables, a close-fitting wall mount, and a 360-degree design so users can place the TV wherever they want.

In addition to the basic stand that comes with the TV, there are also studio stands that allow you to place the TV like a work of art, and gravity stands that have a sense of weight and rotate 70 degrees left and right so that you can place it in tight spaces, so consumers can choose the stand that best suits their environment.
