Samsung Electronics will launch the 'Galaxy Folder 2' on the 23rd. This comes two years after the release of the Galaxy Folder 1. The Folder 1 has received a fairly steady response from people who have a particular attachment to flip phones and those who want to use a smartphone but found the bar form factor inconvenient.
The Galaxy Folder 2 has returned with a sleek material, completely shedding the textured feel of the Folder 1. It brings to mind the Krzr, the successor to the Motorola Razr that was popular in the past. In addition, it provides a comfortable grip thanks to the slim design characteristic of folder phones.
In terms of performance, the 96.6mm large screen display allows you to view text, photos, and videos. Although the screen is smaller compared to bar-type smartphones, the larger keypad reduces typing errors. Additionally, functions such as contacts, text messaging, and the camera are equipped with separate physical buttons for easier access.
It also provides a 'Social App Key' that allows convenient access to frequently used social media applications. It can be used as a shortcut for applications of the user's choice, such as KakaoTalk and Band.
In addition, it supports widgets such as a pedometer, flashlight, and data usage in Easy Mode, which makes it easy to view the home screen. You can also freely change the application icon and font size.
The 'Galaxy Folder 2' is equipped with 15 specialized ringtones that focus on the audible range of middle-aged and elderly people, and the ringtone volume has been expanded from the existing 11 levels to 13 levels.
It is equipped with 2GB of RAM, a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, and a 1,950mAh removable battery. It supports Android 6.0 and features a microSD slot, allowing for capacity expansion up to 256GB.
Color (black or burgundy) and communication type (LTE or 3G) are selectable, and the retail price is 297,000 won.

LG Electronics Launches Power Phone Capable of Watching DMB for Two Days on a Single Charge
LG Electronics is launching the LG X500 (319,000 won), a value-oriented smartphone featuring the largest battery capacity of any domestically released smartphone to date, through all three mobile carriers on the 9th. The LG X500 is a Korea-exclusive product based on the globally acclaimed LG X Power2, which was first unveiled at MWC 2017 held in early this year. It adds HD DMB with 12 times better picture quality compared to standard DMB and features 32GB of storage capacity. The device is equipped with a large-capacity 4,500mAh battery that enables up to two days of use on a single charge. It can continuously play video for approximately 20 hours on one charge, and internet browsing is possible for approximately 20 hours of continuous use. With fast charging that is twice as quick as conventional charging, the battery can be charged to 50% in approximately one hour. The display screen measures 5.5 inches. The LG X500 features a 5-megapixel front wide-angle camera that enables group selfies without requiring a selfie stick. Additionally, an LED flash is mounted on the front to enable bright and clear selfies in low-light conditions. The 13-megapixel rear camera with high image quality has zero shutter lag applied, allowing photography to be captured simultaneously with button press. Lee Sang-kyu, Senior Executive of LG Electronics' Korea Mobile Group, stated, "This will be a suitable phone for consumers who want to work on smartphones for extended periods or enjoy content without worrying about battery life, and LG Electronics will continue to introduce value-oriented lineups."
