Samsung SDS introduced its blockchain technology and presented its future business vision at the "Money 20/20 Europe" event, Europe's largest global fintech conference.

"Money 20/20 Europe" is a global financial innovation/fintech event in which more than 1,500 global companies participate, including financial institutions such as banks and credit card companies, as well as companies in the mobile and retail sectors.

President Hong Won-pyo delivered a keynote speech at the “Money 20/20 Europe” event under the theme “Commercialization of Blockchain, Beyond Digital Finance,” introducing Samsung SDS’s blockchain platform Nexledger ^™ and presenting models for the expansion of blockchain, such as insurance claims, payment automation, and digital logistics, which are types of smart contracts.

Samsung SDS joined Hyperledger, a global blockchain project operated by the Linux Foundation, in 2016, and in May of this year, became the first Korean company to join the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA).

In addition, at the end of last May, he also led the launch of a shipping and logistics blockchain consortium involving government agencies such as the Korea Customs Service and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, as well as logistics companies such as Hyundai Merchant Marine and Korea Shipping.
