Dell EMC Launches 14th Gen PowerEdge, 'The Cornerstone of Data Centers' in Korea

Dell EMC has launched the 14th generation 'Dell EMC PowerEdge server' product family.
Dell EMC PowerEdge servers are equipped with Intel Xeon Scalable processors. These are scheduled to be installed in various Dell EMC products, including not only servers but also storage and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI).
It handles various workloads of a software-defined data center (SDDC) with a scalable architecture. In addition, it offers up to 12 times higher IOPS and up to 97% latency reduction in vSAN clusters with VMware, as well as seamless and fast VMs, Live Migration that moves VMs while they remain active without powering down, and ultra-high-speed networking technology that accesses remote direct storage, using up to 75% less CPU and providing 58% faster speeds.
OpenManage Enterprise, a system management console software, provides automation tools for deployment, updates, monitoring, and management. Remote server access makes system management easier, and dedicated engineers provide reports and support solutions based on monitoring to accelerate problem resolution.
Security provides authenticated firmware and automated BIOS recovery capabilities through processor-level verification using Intel Boot Guard features across servers and data centers.
Meanwhile, the 14th generation PowerEdge server product family will be integrated into Dell EMC's various solutions and platforms in the second half of this year. By equipping Dell EMC's storage and data center appliances, HCI, hybrid cloud platforms, and ReadyNode with next-generation PowerEdge servers, the company plans to showcase enhanced performance and security.

The new SDS portfolio announced by Dell EMC is scheduled for launch in the second half of the year and includes ▲ScaleIO.Next, a new product in the enterprise-grade SDS solution ScaleIO Ready Node, ▲new portfolio of Dell EMC Ready Node for diverse virtualization platforms, ▲updates to object storage ECS (Elastic Cloud Storage) and IsilonSD Edge. 델EMC 합병 후? “충분한 시너지 효과 있다”
델EMC가 6일(목) 코엑스에서 디지털 미래를 실현하라(Realize your digital future)를 주제로 포럼을 개최했다. 데이비드 웹스터(David Webster) 아태지역 총괄은 ‘델과 EMC가 합병 후 렉스레이(Rex-ray) 이외 특별한 제품이 없는 것 같다’는 기자의 말에 “합병 후 충분한 시너지 효과를 내고 있다”고 답했다. ‘어떻게 디지털 트렌스포메이션을 해야 하는지’ IT 간소화 방법을 고민하는 경영진에게 델EMC가 스토리지(EMC)와 서버(델), 보안(VMware)까지 통합된 솔루션을 제공할 수 있다는 것만으로 시너지 효과를 내는 것이라고 말했다. 이밖에 삼성과 네이버 같은 국내 업체와도 협력을 강화할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
