Samsung Electronics will be participating as an official sponsor of the 'TEKKEN WORLD TOUR KOREA', a fighting game tournament to be held at the JBK Convention Hall in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul at 11:00 AM on the 6th, by supplying QLED TVs and QLED gaming monitors.

'Tekken World Tour' is an international gaming competition held in partnership between global gaming livestreaming platform Twitch and Tekken series publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment to commemorate the release of 'Tekken 7' for PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One, and Steam.

Starting with the Thailand competition on the 1st of last month, the event will be held sequentially in countries around the world, including Korea this month, until November, with a total prize pool exceeding 200,000 dollars (224.6 million won).

The Tekken World Tour Korea tournament will feature 256 gamers who pre-registered online, competing in a thrilling match in a gaming zone equipped with six 65-inch Samsung Electronics QLED TVs and 20 27-inch QLED gaming monitors. A total prize pool of $10,000 (approximately 11.23 million won) is up for grabs at this Korean tournament. Gaming enthusiasts can watch the competition on-site for free, and can also watch the live broadcast of the competition through the official Twitch channel.

Samsung Electronics' QLED TVs and QLED gaming monitors feature metal quantum dot technology, enabling them to vividly display the rapid movements of game characters without missing a single moment thanks to their rich and colorful color volume and fast response speed. They are also emerging as a strong player in high-performance gaming platforms due to their durability that prevents burn-in even after long-term use.

In particular, QLED TVs show excellent gaming performance even in competitive games where a moment's difference can determine victory or defeat, with an input lag of less than 20ms (milliseconds, 0.02 seconds).

Additionally, QLED TVs and QLED gaming monitors feature ultra-high definition HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology, which makes dark areas darker and bright areas brighter, vividly conveying detailed color expressions and subtle differences in light and shade on the game screen, providing gamers with an exceptional sense of immersion.
