'LG ProBeam TV' projects a 100-inch screen from a distance of 12cm

LG Electronics launched a premium ultra-short throw beam projector in Korea on the 20th that displays a large screen with a short projection distance.

The 'LG ProBeam TV (model name: HF85JA)' displays a 100-inch (2.54m) screen with a distance of just 12cm between the product and the screen, which is about the length of a ballpoint pen. Compared to existing products that project an 80-inch (2.03m) screen from a 33cm gap, the screen size has been increased by one-fourth while reducing the distance by two-thirds.

This product features a short projection distance, making it convenient to install even in cramped spaces. For example, it can be installed in narrow areas, such as TV stands, without protruding. Due to the short distance between the product and the screen, there is no need to worry about people blocking the light as they walk by. Users do not need to find a spot to optimize screen size and angle, or hang the product from the ceiling, as is required with conventional projectors.

This product has a brightness of 1,500 ANSI lumens, equivalent to lighting 1,500 candles simultaneously, making it more than 500 ANSI lumens brighter than existing products. The resolution is Full HD (1,920x1,080). As the screen size increases, the light is dispersed, so projectors must have high brightness and sharp resolution to properly display the large screen.

LG Electronics also launched the 'LG MiniBeam TV (model name: PH30J),' which features a large-capacity battery allowing for up to four hours of playback without a power source. This playback time is approximately twice as long as that of existing products. Users will no longer have to endure the inconvenience of the power turning off midway when watching long movies outdoors, such as at campsites.

The advantage of this product is a completely wireless user experience that requires no connecting cables. It is equipped with features such as a high-capacity battery that eliminates the need for a power cord, Screen Share that wirelessly displays smartphone screens, and Bluetooth that connects wirelessly to speakers to deliver rich sound. With a small size (85.5 x 146.9 x 36.5 mm) that fits in one hand, it is convenient to carry. Equipped with a USB Type-C port, it can also be charged using a smartphone charger. Users no longer need to carry around large and heavy adapters.

The shipping price of the new 'LG ProBeam TV' is 2.09 million won, and the shipping price of the new 'LG MiniBeam TV' is 590,000 won.
