KT announced that it has launched 'KT GiGAeyes', a network-based intelligent video security solution, as a key service in the disaster safety and security field among the '5 major platforms' that it is fostering as future core businesses.

'Giga Eyes' is a service that collects video from IP cameras installed in business locations, stores it on KT's intelligent video security platform, analyzes it, and provides customers with high-definition monitoring video in real time.

With the recent advancements in network and video analysis technology, the security industry's paradigm is shifting. 'Gigaeyes' has maximized customer value in terms of safety by incorporating IoT and big data analysis into existing video security and dispatch services, such as CCTV.



The strengths of 'Giga Eyes' are ▲Full-HD real-time video monitoring and storage, allowing for clearer picture quality and accurate recognition of accident scenes ▲When abnormal situations are detected through real-time video analytics, an alarm is sent, enabling immediate response to dangerous situations ▲KT Telecop's professional dispatch service is provided free of charge twice a month ▲Insurance service is provided in case of theft or injury ▲Interconnection with IoT devices such as door opening/smoke/motion/sound detection and temperature/humidity sensors▲Statistical data provided through intelligent video analysis function can be used for marketing purposes, etc., even in situations where the camera cannot capture.

In addition, 'Gigaeyes' provides 6 types of intelligent video analysis (intrusion detection, people count, residence time analysis, smart video search, smart video summary, camera tampering detection/details (see attached file)) for free, so that customers can receive and utilize the marketing information they want, in addition to simple security.

Another strength is its security control center management and cloud operation. "GigaEyes" secures video data from 100% encryption and is managed 24/7 by the KT Network Security Control Center, ensuring it is safe from hacking and other threats. Since video recording devices are not required at customer sites, there's no need to worry about them being lost, damaged, or stolen. Furthermore, the system also saves on electricity costs associated with device maintenance.

Song Jae-ho, executive director of the Integrated Security Business Unit at KT's Future Convergence Business Promotion Office, said, "We launched 'GigaEyes' by combining KT's intelligent network and the integrated security service capabilities of our group company KT Telecop." He added, "KT will not only strive to secure meaningful customers in the new video security market, but we will also open the GigaEyes platform and expand the ecosystem by conducting research and development in the field of video analysis together with small and medium-sized software developers."
