Suitable for the latest OS operating systems and graphics-intensive client virtualization

Dell EMC is launching 'VxRail,' a Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) combined with 'PowerEdge Server,' the number one selling x86 server in the global market.

The newly introduced 'VxRail' provides integrated services encompassing storage, servers, and virtualization solutions for enterprises of all sizes. Based on the new PowerEdge-based 'VxRail,' Dell EMC expects to secure a wider range of modern data center deployment cases in Korea.

Dell EMC’s newly introduced VxRail integrates with PowerEdge servers to deliver 40% higher CPU performance at the same price point, while also enhancing flexibility and scalability through various configurations. All-flash node capacity has doubled, and the minimum cost of deployment has been lowered by 25% with the addition of an affordable entry-level lineup.

With the added power of PowerEdge servers, the supported workloads have also become more diverse. First, through the latest Intel processors and high-density storage nodes, it can handle workloads that intensively consume storage resources, such as big data analytics or Microsoft Exchange.

The V-series product family is equipped with two GPUs per node, making it suitable for modern operating systems such as Windows 10, as well as graphics-intensive client virtualization for CAD, CAM, and R&D tasks. In addition, it supports the simpler and more cost-effective deployment and management of IT environments at various remote locations, such as distant offices or branches.

Meanwhile, Dell EMC plans to install the new software, 'VxRail Appliances 4.5,' on all VxRail hardware starting in September.

Kim Kyung-jin, Senior Vice President at Dell EMC headquarters and President of Enterprise Business Korea, assessed that “Hyper-converged systems are the most prominent sector in the current IT infrastructure market and are the optimal solution for increasing data center agility while reducing complexity.” He added, “With PowerEdge servers integrated into VxRail, the scalability and reliability of the solution have been significantly enhanced, and we expect Dell EMC’s growth in the domestic HCI market to accelerate.”
