Koh Dong-jin, President of Samsung Electronics' Mobile Communications Business, said, "After the Note 7, we were contemplating whether to discontinue the Note series, so we conducted a survey of 50 million Galaxy Note users. As a result, 85% of users said they liked the Note series. This was an opportunity to confirm our loyal customer base. We will continue to strive to innovate the Note series."

When a reporter asked about the "competitiveness of the Note with the imminent launch of the iPhone X," he said, "Rather than being perceived as a competitor, the Note has a separate roadmap," and "Since the Note has a support base, we expect it to dominate in other countries as well."

The Galaxy Note8 64GB model comes in three colors: Midnight Black, Deep Sea Blue, and Orchid Gray, and is priced at 1,094,500 won. The 256GB model comes in two colors, Midnight Black and Deep Sea Blue, and is priced at 1,254,000 won.

Pre-orders are available from the 7th, and the official opening will take place on the 15th.
