The 'Gear Fit 2 Pro,' launching on the 15th, is equipped with more powerful fitness features. Notably, it is the first Gear product to be certified with a 5ATM water resistance rating under the ISO 22810:2010 standard, allowing users to use it with peace of mind not only in the rain or while showering but also in swimming pools and shallow seas.
Samsung Electronics has pre-installed the 'Speedo On' application, developed in collaboration with Speedo, a global specialist in swimming equipment, on the 'Gear Fit 2 Pro,' providing comprehensive exercise analysis information such as swimming strokes, stroke counts, distance, and speed.
In addition, the 'Gear Fit 2 Pro' features a 'Water Lock Mode' that prevents touch malfunctions caused by water currents, making it suitable for swimming or underwater leisure activities It can be conveniently used in activities.
In addition, the Gear Fit 2 Pro features a more sophisticated heart rate sensor that measures heart rate down to the second, enabling more effective fitness management. Utilizing the built-in standalone GPS sensor, it measures distance traveled and speed, allowing for comprehensive management of workout effectiveness along with exercise time and heart rate, while major exercises such as running, walking, and cycling are managed separately.
It can automatically recognize and record even without the user pressing a button.
The 'Gear Fit 2 Pro', available in two colors, black and red, is priced at 220,000 won.
To commemorate the launch of the 'Gear Fit 2 Pro', Samsung Electronics is holding a special sale of a package consisting of the 'Gear Fit 2 Pro' and Bluetooth earphones 'U Flex' for 229,000 won, limited to 1,000 units, on the Samsung Electronics website from 10 a.m. on the 15th to the 22nd.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics is also scheduled to release the 'Gear VR with Controller,' a headset that allows users to enjoy virtual reality with the 'Galaxy Note 8,' on the 20th.
The new 'Gear VR' allows users to enjoy more interactive virtual reality content through a dedicated controller and can be used with the 'Galaxy S8' and 'Galaxy Note Fan Edition'. The price of the new 'Gear VR' is 149,600 won.
