Suitable for cost-effective design using PCB space of less than 740mm2

Bycor has expanded its Cool-Power 48V ZVS 20A buck regulator family with the introduction of the PI3523-00-LGIZ (PI3523).

The PI352x family complements the previously released 10A 48VIN PI354x family with 20A solutions, providing scalable power options for 48V Direct-to-PoL applications.

The PI3523 is a 48VIN, 3.3VOUT nominal buck regulator capable of supplying up to 22A. This family of regulators provides a 20A point-of-load voltage ranging from 2.2VOUT to 14VOUT from 48VIN.

The PI352x portfolio, which includes all the industry-leading features of Vicor's existing 48V Cool-Power ZVS buck regulators, extends the performance of its predecessors by delivering twice the power of the PI354x in a package that is only 40% larger.

The PI3523 is ideal for cost-effective designs that utilize less than 740 mm2 of PCB space, requiring only a single output inductor and minimal passive components. Designed for easy paralleling in combinations of up to three regulators, the PI352x regulators are scalable to support higher load currents.

The PI352x family addresses the growing need for 48V Direct-to-PoL in a variety of applications including lighting, communications, automotive equipment, and data centers. Cool-Power ZVS regulators are easy to use, yet offer high power density and high efficiency.
