Three new products support deep learning, VR content creation, 8K video editing, etc. with Intel Xeon processors and graphic technology

Dell has unveiled a number of new products to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its workstation brand, Precision. The new products include a new tower-type series, a new rack-type product, and a limited edition laptop-type mobile workstation.

First, the three new Dell Precision Tower products, Precision Tower 5820, 7820, and 7920, support high-intensity workloads such as VR content development by applying the latest Intel Xeon processors with innovative performance, next-generation AMD Radeon Pro graphics cards, and professional NVIDIA Quadro graphics cards.

In addition, Dell's exclusive technology, 'RMT Pro (Reliable Memory Technology Pro)', detects and corrects memory errors in real time to maintain a stable working environment, and the automatic management program, 'Dell Precision Optimizer (DPO)' automatically adjusts optimized system settings so that major software can achieve maximum performance.

The new Dell Precision Towers offer flexible configuration options for a variety of work environments. In particular, the combination of the NVIDIA Quadro GP100 with HBM2 (high bandwidth memory) and the latest Intel Xeon processor smoothly supports next-generation workloads such as deep learning and machine learning applications as well as AI (artificial intelligence).

Also, NVIDIA's next-generation GPU Pascal with high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and high-speed interconnect NVLink provide powerful performance and capacity to handle demanding design tasks such as CAD, CAM, and VR environments. AMD Radeon Pro graphics solutions with 2 TB SSD and HBM2 are suitable for real-time 8K video editing, etc.

The Dell 'Precision Rack 7920', which was also unveiled, is a 2U form factor rack workstation that provides the same power and expandability as a high-performance tower workstation. In particular, it is suitable for remote users as it allows easy deployment, update, monitoring, and maintenance of the workstation through the 'iDRAC (Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller)' that remotely accesses and manages the server.
