Dell EMC Launches New Mid-range Storage Products with Increased Bandwidth and Memory

Dell EMC introduces the new 'SCv3000' storage in the SC series, featuring enterprise-grade capabilities.
Compared to the previous generation SCv2000, the new product has doubled its memory and tripled its bandwidth. As a result, performance increased by 50%, recording a maximum of 270,000 IOPS (input/output operations per second).
Key features include Live Volume, which ensures no workload interruptions through redundancy implementation; Federation, which allows for flexible response by combining up to eight SC storage units; and Data Progression, which allows for customized configuration of the flash ratio.
The new SC series is available in two base models, the SCv3000 and SCv3020. It can be configured as a hybrid of 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch HDDs and SSDs (Solid State Drives) with a raw capacity of up to 1 PB per array. Additionally, multiple arrays can be combined to form federated cluster groups, and active load balancing and wizard-based migration tools are provided.

The newly introduced 'AW3418DW' is a 34-inch ultra-wide QHD curved monitor from Dell's flagship gaming PC brand 'Alienware.' Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers.
