In response to these market demands, Wind River has released the latest version of 'Wind River Helix Device Cloud,' a device lifecycle management platform with enhanced security features.

Since the majority of devices in the industrial market have been in use for a considerable time and are not designed to support IoT, connecting these legacy devices exposes vulnerabilities to attacks, posing a risk of compromising corporate security and privacy. To address this issue, Wind River's latest version of Device Cloud offers the following new features and capabilities:

The risk of security attacks on devices has been significantly reduced through zero-touch onboarding, which enables immediate connectivity and management via Intel's technology while providing enhanced security capabilities. Additionally, by applying Telit's underlying IoT technology, it offers remote monitoring, over-the-air (OTA) and firmware updates, notification functions, rules, campaign updates, and data management and monitoring capabilities.

Wind River Device Cloud is integrated with the recently launched Intel Secure Device Onboard (SDO). By combining Wind River's Device Cloud with Intel SDO, device manufacturers gain the pre-production tools necessary for large-scale automation featuring device onboarding, management, connectivity, and security capabilities. The Zero Touch onboarding feature included here is designed to mitigate the risk of security attacks on the device, protect personal information, and provide automation capabilities that innovatively reduce installation and waiting times to within seconds.
