Consistently high efficiency across the input line range

Bycor has launched a new product in its ChiP package, the Isolated Rectified DC-DC Converter DCM, which generates an isolated DC output voltage using a variable unregulated input voltage.

Adopting a high-frequency zero-voltage switching (ZVS) topology, the DCM converter maintains consistent high efficiency across the input line range. These modular DCM converters and downstream DC-DC products not only support efficient power distribution, but also deliver exceptional power system performance and connectivity, from unregulated power sources to point-of-load.

Vicor has added a new 30V nominal input module (9-50V range) in the 3623 ChiP package (1.52 x 0.90 x 0.29 inches) targeting a variety of applications including UAVs, ground vehicles, radars, transportation and industrial controls. This converter achieves a power density of 404 W/in3 with a 15V output and a power rating of up to 160W. Another new product is a 375W module with a 275V nominal input voltage (120-420V), 24V output, housed in the 4623 ChiP package (1.89 x 0.90 x 0.29 inches), achieving a power density of 775 W/in3.
