Intel opened a Software-Defined Infrastructure (SDI) solution center together with Red Hat, a global leader in open source solutions.

The newly opened Red Hat and Intel Software Defined Infrastructure Solution Center supports public and enterprise customers considering the implementation of Software Defined Infrastructure—the biggest topic in the IT industry recently—in reviewing related solutions more conveniently and efficiently.

Customers can perform various tests, including pre-technical validation, on technologies and products they are considering adopting at Red Hat and Intel’s Software Defined Infrastructure Solution Centers.

With the opening of the Red Hat and Intel Software Defined Infrastructure Solution Center, Red Hat is now able to showcase software-defined infrastructure solutions that form the foundation of private and hybrid clouds.

Red Hat offers OpenStack Platform, a highly scalable and ready-to-use infrastructure solution; Ceph Storage, capable of massive scalability; OpenShift Containers, an enterprise-grade Kubernetes container platform; and self-managed CloudForms.

In addition, Red Hat plans to conduct various customer project support activities, including SDI introductions, demos, PoCs, and pilots.

Intel provides various technologies related to the configuration of high-performance software-defined storage and hardware platforms, including server platforms featuring Skylake-based Xeon Scalable processors, 25GB Ethernet, and Optane storage with speeds exceeding conventional SSDs, as well as NVMe SSDs based on non-volatile memory technology.
Over the past 20 years, Red Hat and Intel have collaborated to build software-defined infrastructure and industry-standard platforms that enhance data center agility and flexibility, achieving various engineering goals. Starting with the opening of this Software Defined Infrastructure Solution Center, Red Hat Korea and Intel Korea plan to continue their collaboration in Korea to provide unwavering support for accelerating the implementation of software-defined infrastructure for public institutions and enterprise customers.
