Suitable for ground vehicles, radar, transportation, and industrial applications

Vicor has expanded its new product family of isolated rectified DC-DC converters (DCMs) by introducing voltage regulation devices with a ±1% range.

With a power density of up to 1,032 W/in³, the new series offers engineers the option to directly drive loads requiring strictly regulated input voltages. Vicor’s current DCM family in ChiP packages provides up to ±3% regulation and can also be connected in parallel in arrays for higher power delivery.

The DCM ChiP can generate an isolated DC output voltage using a wide range of unisolated input voltages. Adopting a high-frequency zero-voltage (ZVS) topology, the DCM converter provides consistently high efficiency across the entire input voltage range.

DCM's new series is available with nominal input voltages of 28V, 270V, and 275V as standard. These products are suitable for a wide range of defense and industrial applications requiring stricter output voltage regulation, such as UAVs, ground vehicles, radar, and transportation and industrial applications. This product family is available in an M rating, operating down to -55°C.
