Development of a high-speed encryption-capable electronic document management system

KT announced that it has upgraded its existing 'KT Blockchain' to enable unlimited storage of electronic document data and developed a next-generation electronic document management system based on it.

With this technological advancement, 'KT Blockchain' can now store any corporate data regardless of capacity or format, and enables high-speed encryption of each data point through real-time parallel processing. KT developed an electronic document management system based on this blockchain that provides storage and management functions for merchant agreements and supporting materials.

KT developed a KT blockchain-based "Electronic Signature Image (ESC) Management System" in the first half of this year to store "electronic signature images" generated during card transactions. With the recent development of an "Electronic Document Management System," the company has now made it possible to store and manage all electronic documents, such as contracts and supporting materials, that companies must keep absolutely secure.

This 'electronic document management system' is scheduled to be introduced to BC Card for the first time within the year.

Hong Kyung-pyo, Head of the Convergence Research Institute at KT's Convergence Technology Institute, stated, "KT Blockchain can be utilized as a core infrastructure capable of storing and distributing large volumes of corporate data," adding, "Through this collaboration with BC Card, we will expand KT Blockchain into a dedicated IT infrastructure for enterprises that encompasses not only financial data but also non-financial data."
