Roller coaster, enjoy it in VR

Samsung Electronics has collaborated with Legoland Malaysia Resort to allow users to experience the roller coaster 'The Great Lego Race' using 'Gear VR'.
It will be operated at Legoland from the 23rd (local time). If you wear Gear VR and ride the roller coaster, you can experience as if you are racing directly with Lego characters in an imaginary space made of Lego.
Gear VR synchronizes with the rotation, rise, and fall of the roller coaster, providing a thrilling and immersive experience for both children and adults. You can ride without wearing Gear VR, and it is available for children aged 6 and above.

ETRI develops technology to create 360-degree VR content using smartphones
Domestic researchers have developed a technology that enables the creation of high-definition 360-degree VR (virtual reality) content using smartphones. ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) has partnered with NextIon, a virtual reality solution provider, to develop and successfully commercialize YouVR technology, which enables the production of 360-degree VR content in a mobile environment without dedicated hardware. Users can download and utilize a dedicated app. Previously, producing 360-degree VR content required dedicated hardware such as a multi-camera rig—a device that precisely combines multiple cameras. Additionally, stitching software was necessary to connect photographs simultaneously captured by multiple cameras, as well as software to stitch and join multiple video frames together.

LG Uplus Launches Google VR-Exclusive OTT Service App
LG유플러스는 구글 VR전용 플랫폼인 구글 데이드림을 통해 모바일 인터넷 동영상(OTT) 서비스인 'U+비디오포털VR' 앱을 출시했다고 밝혔다. ‘U+비디오포털VR’ 앱은 가상 공간에서 모바일TV인 U+비디오포털에서 제공 중인 무료VOD 및 360도 영상, 실시간 채널 등을 무료로 제공하는 서비스이다. 구글플레이스토어에서 구글 데이드림 앱 설치 후 데이드림 뷰를 착용하면 이용이 가능하다. 데이드림 뷰는 구글 최신 가상현실(VR) 기기로, 휴대하면서 안경처럼 쓰고 영상물을 대형화면으로 즐길 수 있다.
