KT announced that it has launched a new roaming plan called 'Data Roaming Gigapack Sharing' that allows up to three companions to share data while traveling abroad.

The 'Data Roaming Giga Pack' is a roaming plan launched to resolve the inconvenience of customers using local USIMs when traveling to major countries including Asia, Europe, the United States, and Oceania. It allows users to use data roaming services at an affordable price with a designated capacity, keeping their existing Korean phone number without the hassle of swapping USIMs.

The newly launched products are two types: Data Roaming Gigapack Sharing Asia (4G) and Data Roaming Gigapack Sharing Europe/North America (3GB). Data Roaming Gigapack Sharing Asia (4G) allows for 4GB of data usage for 7 days, while Data Roaming Gigapack Sharing Europe/North America (3GB) provides 3GB of data for 28 days. The price is the same for both at 55,000 won.

This service is characterized by allowing up to three KT customers to share data roaming. Unlike 'Pocket Wi-Fi' or 'tethering,' which require users to be within a certain distance to share data, it is convenient as data can be shared even when users are far apart. Additionally, even if the data allowance is exhausted early, it can be recharged in 1GB increments as needed.

In addition, the 'Data Roaming Gigapack Asia' rate plan was also revamped. In addition to the existing 2GB plan, we launched the 'Data Roaming Gigapack Asia (3GB)' to reflect the needs of customers who want more data usage. We also significantly enhanced customer convenience by extending the usage period from the previous 6 days to 7 days.
