Genie Music Launches Integrated AI Service 'Genius'
Published2017.12.19 10:49As AI voice recognition services emerge as a key element of smartphone technology competition, Genie Music has launched 'Genius,' an integrated AI emotional service, the first of its kind in Korea.
Genie Music has formed a technology partnership with SoundHound, a prominent U.S. AI voice recognition technology company, and applied 'Genius,' an advanced integrated AI service, to its emotional intelligence-based music curation service, Genie.
The integrated AI service 'Genius' provides a 'voice recognition service' that uses smarter AI technology to quickly and accurately find the music customers want, and also offers a 'sound recognition service' that plays a specific song immediately after hearing just a snippet from an external source.
The 'sound recognition service' allows customers to preview a specific part for 30 seconds to verify if it is the song they are looking for. In the future, 'Genius' plans to expand its artificial intelligence music search capabilities to include searching for music by playing humming that is not pronounced accurately.
In addition, Genie Music has completely revamped its music service Genie application by releasing version 4.4.0 of the Genie application, equipped with the integrated AI emotional service 'Genius,' for iOS and Android platforms.
The emotional AI 'Genius' is portrayed as a character with living emotions, and the 'Genius' character 'Woori' can converse with users through various facial expressions and chat. Since the chat history of the 'Genius' character 'Woori' with users is stored in the application for about 15 days, users can conveniently replay songs they recently found through the emotional AI 'Genius'.
