KT Begins Pre-orders for 'Galaxy A8' Featuring Dual Front Camera
Published2018.01.02 14:55KT announced that it will begin pre-order sales for Samsung Electronics' 'Galaxy A8 (2018)', scheduled for release on January 5, starting on the 2nd.
The most significant feature of the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) is that it is the first Galaxy model to feature a dual front camera, allowing users to take professional-looking selfies and adding fun to portrait photography with the Live Focus function. It also features an Infinity Display, Bixby Vision, Home, and Reminders, IP68 water and dust resistance, and Samsung Pay.
KT will conduct pre-orders for the Galaxy A8 through its official online channel, KT Shop, for three days from the 2nd to the 4th, and will provide a premium selfie stick to pre-order customers. The device will be released starting January 5th at KT stores nationwide and through the official online channel, KT Shop. Customers who activate the Galaxy A8 at a KT store by January 31st will receive a Moleskine notebook for free (limited to 20,000 units). The retail price is 599,500 won (including VAT), and it will be released in three colors: Black, Blue, and Gold.
KT customers can purchase the Galaxy A8 at an even lower price through various additional discounts. If you purchase the Galaxy A8 on installment with the 'Premium Super Installment Hyundai Card' by January 31, you can receive a total benefit of 520,000 won, including up to 480,000 won in communication fee discounts over two years based on usage, plus 40,000 won in cashback. In addition to this, you can receive additional discounts through KT Membership points and by accumulating points from various partner companies through Point Park.
'Premium Family Combination' is a product that offers a 25% combination discount starting from the second mobile line when combining KT Internet and two or more lines of the Mobile 65.8 plan. If you also apply a selective contract, you receive a total 50% discount, allowing you to use the unlimited data plan (2GB per day + unlimited at a maximum speed of 3Mbps after the basic allowance is exhausted), which is currently offered at a monthly fee of 65,890 won, for half the price of 32,890 won.
Son Jeong-yeop, Senior Vice President of Wireless Terminals at KT Device Division, said, "The Galaxy A8 (2018) is a device that allows users to enjoy various features and services previously only found in premium phones at a price in the 500,000 won range," adding, "You will be able to experience the highest level of satisfaction through the A8 that you could only feel with premium phones."

KT and Ajou University Medical Center Sign MOU for Advancement of Regional Trauma Center
KT announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ajou University Hospital and the Regional Trauma Center for mutual cooperation in advancing medical services and developing and applying medical ICT solutions. The signing ceremony held at Ajou University Hospital in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province was attended by KT Chairman Hwang Chang-gyu, Ajou University President-elect and Hospital Director Yu Hee-seok, Regional Trauma Center Director Lee Guk-jong, KT Sports President Yu Tae-yeol, and other related personnel, who discussed future cooperation plans.
