Thunderbolt 3, a next-generation data communication standard eight times faster than USB 3.0.

Samsung Electronics will unveil the QLED curved monitor 'CJ791' that supports Intel's next-generation data transfer standard 'Thunderbolt 3' at 'CES 2018', the world's largest electronics show held in Las Vegas, USA.

The CJ791 is a wide-area display with a 21:9 screen ratio in a 34-inch size, and supports Ultra Wide QHD (UWQHD, 3440x1440), a resolution 2.5 times higher than HD, making it a monitor optimized for multitasking environments and high-definition work such as graphics and gaming.

Additionally, this product uses quantum dot technology to reproduce a high color gamut of 125% of sRGB, allowing it to express detailed differences in any scene, and features visual comfort and immersion provided by a 1500R curvature.

Samsung Electronics has equipped the CJ791 with a next-generation integrated port that supports the Thunderbolt 3 communication standard in a single USB-Type C port, making it the first curved monitor product.

In particular, it provides even better performance in high-definition and multitasking environments when connected to high-performance laptop PCs that support Thunderbolt 3, such as some models of Samsung Notebook 9 Always and MacBook.

It is also fully compatible with USB-C terminals and supports rated output of up to 85W, allowing you to simultaneously charge your laptop PC or smartphone while outputting graphics with a single cable.

The CJ791 uses two 'Thunderbolt 3' ports to &lsquIt also supports the "Daisy Chain" feature. This evolution from the traditional method of directly connecting two monitors to a single PC allows you to easily create a high-resolution dual-monitor setup by simply connecting cables between the main and sub monitors connected to the PC.

In addition, the CJ791 provides a 'game mode' that intuitively adjusts color and color contrast to suit each game scene, and supports a fast response speed of 4ms (milliseconds, 0.004 seconds) so that users can enjoy vivid and uninterrupted screens.

This product not only provides a functionally perfect viewing experience, but also features a design with almost no bezels on the top, left, and right sides to blend in well with any space, and the Thunderbolt 3 cable minimizes connection lines for a clean installation.
