Samsung Electronics Unveils the Galaxy Note 8 Olympic Edition
Published2018.01.17 10:52Samsung Electronics unveiled the 'Galaxy Note 8 Olympic Edition'.
Samsung Electronics, in cooperation with the International Olympic Committee, will provide approximately 4,000 units of the 'Galaxy Note8 Olympic Edition' to all Olympic athletes and IOC officials.
The 'Galaxy Note8 Olympic Edition' features the latest features of the Galaxy Note8, such as the 6.3-inch bezel-minimized 'Infinity Display', an evolved S Pen, and a dual camera, along with the shiny white color symbolizing winter and the gold Olympic rings design symbolizing the Olympics.
Additionally, the 'Galaxy Note8 Olympic Edition' will come with a dedicated wallpaper themed around the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics and an application that allows users to check various information related to the Olympic Games at a glance.
“We hope that the Galaxy Note8 Olympic Edition will allow all Olympic participants and officials to vividly share and communicate their special experiences at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics with their families, friends, and fans,” said Lee Young-hee, Vice President and Head of Samsung Electronics’ Global Marketing Center.
IOC President Thomas Bach said, “For the past 20 years, Samsung Electronics’ innovative mobile technology has played a significant role in spreading the Olympic spirit around the world,” and added, “We will continue to make the Olympic spirit unforgettable through the ‘Galaxy Note 8 Olympic Edition’ at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.” He welcomed the announcement of the ‘Galaxy Note 8 Olympic Edition,’ saying, “Countless experiences will be vividly delivered to the world.”
