SKT, KT, and LG U+ held simultaneous opening events, each offering different services.

The three major mobile carriers will simultaneously hold Galaxy S9 launch events on the 9th, offering various benefits to first-time customers and participating customers and implementing S9 services.

SKT launches LTE service with a maximum speed of approximately 1 Gbps and launches data plans that eliminate speed and capacity concerns.
Customers who sign up through SK Telecom can enjoy 1Gbps LTE service. With the launch of the Galaxy S9, SK Telecom will offer 1Gbps LTE service in high-traffic areas of major metropolitan cities, including Seoul, Incheon, Busan, and Gwangju.

Additionally, SK Telecom is launching two smartphone exchange programs under its "T Galaxy Club S9" program. This program allows Galaxy S9 customers to exchange their phones for new Galaxy S and Note series devices. Customers who sign up for the Galaxy S9 will not have to pay any remaining installment payments of up to 50% of the original price if they return the device after 12 months (monthly fee of 3,300 won, including VAT) or 18 months (monthly fee of 3,850 won).

SK Telecom is holding an online promotion called "SUPER 9" for customers who purchase the Galaxy S9. Participation is available on the event page.

SK Telecom will select a total of 999 customers from among the applicants and provide them with ▲'SUPER 9 Life Shot Expedition' (9 people), in which a professional photographer will accompany them on a tour of U.S. tourist attractions and take photos with the Galaxy S9 ▲Samsung Galaxy Gear Sport (90 people) ▲Starbucks gift cards (900 people).

KT offers double card discount plans and data options, including 87.8%.
KT began offering pre-orders for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus at 8:00 AM. The event was attended by 99 pre-selected subscribers and the nine-member idol group "gugudan," whose name signifies the number "9." Gugudan congratulated the first subscriber and took a commemorative photo.

The first customer to open the service was a man in his 30s who waited in front of KT Square from 3 PM on the 7th. The first customer will receive a one-year data selection 87.8 plan, a Galaxy S9 Changeup, Giga Genie LTE, and a Samsung Notebook Pen. Customers 2-3 will receive a Galaxy Gear S3 and Giga Genie LTE, and customers 4-9 will receive Harman Kardon speakers. The first 99 invited guests will receive a Samsung neckband, KT mascot doll Coritory, and a 5G eco pack.



The 'Card Double Discount Plan' is a benefit that allows you to receive two discounts by paying the device price and communication charges with different affiliated cards. If you purchase the Galaxy S9 with the 'Premium Super Installment Hyundai Card' and 'Premium Super DC KB Card,' you can receive a discount of up to 960,000 won on communication charges over two years (when using automatic transfer for communication charges) depending on your usage history. If you receive the special Galaxy S9 cashback of 90,000 won (when paying 480,000 won or more in long-term installments with the Premium Super Installment Hyundai Card) from March 9 to April 30, the discount can reach up to 1.05 million won.
KT Data Selection 87.8 plan offers a 25% discount on the "Premium Family Bundle" plan (starting with the second line when bundling two or more KT Internet and Mobile 65.8 plans) and a 25% discount on the optional contract, bringing the discount to up to 50%, or half-price, at just 43,890 won per month. This plan offers unlimited data, VIP membership, music, the latest movies, and device insurance.

The Galaxy S9 Change-up launched by KT offers a compensation benefit of up to 50% of the original price when returning the Galaxy S9 in use after 12 months and changing the device to the latest Galaxy. The monthly fee is 3,300 won per month for a 12-month program, and anyone using an LTE plan can use it without burden by receiving a 100% discount with their membership points.

LG U+ offers high data limits and three months of free calling.
LG U+ kicked off the Galaxy S9 pre-order event with the attendance of its first group of official supporters, "U-Flangers." At the event, they received a "Welcome Package" containing the Galaxy S9, a dedicated case, and a wireless charger.

These official supporters will experience the new smartphones firsthand and create content alongside LG U+ services. The 99 selected in this first group will receive a Galaxy S9 and a free three-month data plan with no worries about speed or capacity.



Customers who subscribe to LG U+'s "Speed and Capacity-Free Plan" can enjoy unlimited data access on the Galaxy S9 for a monthly fee of 88,000 won. There's no "3Mbps" speed cap (QoS) applied by carriers after the basic data allowance is used.

Customers can apply for and use two of the following services free of charge: ▲'U+ Video Portal', which provides 200,000 pieces of content including 120 real-time channels, movies, foreign series, and documentaries; ▲'U+ Movie Monthly Plan', which allows users to watch over 30,000 popular movies and foreign dramas on their mobile phones and PCs; and ▲'Genie Music', which allows users to listen to music through music recommendations and home menu DIY. Additionally, it provides a 'shared data' limit of up to 40GB per month, including data transfer, sharing, and tethering.

LG U+ is launching the "S9 Used Phone Price Guarantee Program 12-Month" and "S9 Used Phone Price Guarantee Program 18-Month" which allow Galaxy S9 customers who return their old devices after 12 or 18 months to receive up to 50% and 40% of the original price, respectively, when exchanging them for a newly released Galaxy series device. The monthly fee for the program is 4,400 won for the 12-month plan and 2,934 won for the 18-month plan, and customers who pay a monthly fee of 65,890 won or more can receive a full discount on the fee in the form of membership points.
