Providing verification opportunities based on international standards at the Global IoT Testing and Certification Center.

KT and the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) announced that they signed a business agreement at the Telecommunications Technology Association's Global IoT Testing and Certification Center located in Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do to promote technological cooperation and ecosystem activation in the fields of IoT (Internet of Things) and 5G (5th generation mobile communications).

Through this business agreement, KT and TTA plan to discover small and medium-sized enterprises that can develop IoT and 5G products that comply with international standards, and to support the commercialization of the developed products by providing a testing environment and professional personnel, thereby helping these companies gain global competitiveness.


For example, if a small and medium-sized enterprise discovered through KT's corporate incubation program develops 'NB-IoT (narrowband Internet of Things)', 'IoT platform', 5G commercial network equipment or terminal, TTA provides an opportunity for testing and verification based on international standards at the 'Global IoT Testing and Certification Center' in operation, and supports technical consulting to the small and medium-sized enterprise to help resolve any problems that may arise during the verification process.

Going forward, KT plans to support TTA in product development and verification, as well as share its IoT and 5G technology know-how and marketing strategies with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), thereby revitalizing the ecosystem and enabling more people to access new services.
