Founded DevNet and is conducting API training and mentoring support programs

Cisco Korea announced that it successfully concluded the hackathon event 'Cisco HackCamp 2018' and held an awards ceremony.

Cisco has established 'DevNet,' a developer community in its major business areas of collaboration, security, data center, and enterprise networking, to foster domestic software developers and the ecosystem, and is actively conducting support programs such as Cisco Open API (Application Programming Interface) training, mentoring, and hackathons.

This 'Cisco Hackcamp' is an event designed to support teams that showcased excellent ideas at 'SuperCAT (Cisco Developers Connect),' a software development event held in May and November of last year, allowing them to directly develop those ideas into practical products. Starting in April, the teams will develop programs with the assistance of Cisco mentors for one month and be evaluated through demo presentations in front of Cisco Korea executives and experts. A total of 10 million won in prize money will be awarded to the final winner and the top three teams.

At this hack camp, participants utilized Cisco’s various technologies, including cloud networking, collaboration solutions, data centers, and network access control, to plan advanced services that are applicable to actual business. Among them, the 'Genians' team, which developed an integration service based on Cisco SDN and NAC solutions, was selected as the final winner.
