Acronis announced that its cloud-based storage, backup, and disaster recovery services business is growing rapidly, with its cloud storage usage surpassing 39 PB (petabytes). The number of Acronis cloud storage-based data protection devices increased by 200% year-over-year, and the number of enterprise customers increased by 151% year-over-year.

Acronis formed new partnerships with over 2,000 service providers (SPs) worldwide last year and is providing backup, disaster recovery, file sharing, and synchronization services using the Acronis Data Cloud Platform.

Acronis Data Cloud Platform helps service providers utilize more effective and cost-effective data protection solutions by supporting single installation, multi-tenant/multi-tier architecture, and native integration with PSA and RMM tools.

Service providers can leverage these advantages of the Acronis platform to easily replace existing systems at a reasonable cost, thereby providing end-service users with new features tailored to their unique needs.

Furthermore, service providers can offer data protection services based on Acronis Data Cloud that are easy to upsell and implement, enabling them to enter new markets, discover new revenue streams, increase customer satisfaction, and reduce churn rates.

Along with this, amidst rising demand to protect public cloud workloads, Acronis recorded a year-over-year growth rate of 1,000% based on the number of Microsoft Office 365 mailboxes protected.

In the case of Acronis Backup, an enterprise backup solution, it was found that 35% of all users store additional backup file copies in the Acronis Cloud, while the number of on-premises users continues to increase. This is because the demand for secure, purpose-built storage services has increased to prevent legal liability arising from data loss, as the importance of customer data management grows.
