'Edge 130', an entry-level model with essential cycling features
'Varia RTL 510', rear radar that helps detect vehicles up to 140 meters behind

Garmin announced the launch of the Edge 130, the entry-level version of its Edge series of GPS-equipped bicycle computers, and the Varia RTL 510, a rear-facing radar that helps ensure safe riding.

The 'Edge 130' is a GPS computer for cycling, featuring maximum ease of use with its compact size, light weight, and intuitive operation using five buttons. It features a 1.8-inch display with excellent readability even under daytime sunlight, and boasts a battery life of up to 15 hours.

Compared to Garmin's previously released entry-level product, the Edge 25, its performance as a cycling computer has been significantly improved. By utilizing three satellite signals, including GPS, GLONASS and Galileo, and a built-in barometer, it provides more accurate riding route and exercise data, allowing cyclists to precisely analyze the distance, speed and altitude they have ridden.

The course creation function of 'Garmin Connect' allows you to plan and download a riding course before the ride, and the 'Trendline™' function allows you to enjoy various on- and off-road courses that are popular with riders.

In addition, if you connect it to a power meter, you can measure the amount of exercise while riding and train systematically, and if you utilize Strava live segments, you can enjoy competition by comparing and measuring your riding skills in specific sections in real time with fellow riders.

A variety of convenient features are also provided to ensure safe and convenient cycling. You can check text messages received while driving directly on the 'Edge 130' screen, and enjoy safe riding through real-time weather information and warning functions.

It can be linked with Varia product lines such as the 'Varia RTL 510' rear radar and the smart headlight 'Varia UT 800', and the 'Edge 130' can be operated via remote control without taking your hands off the bicycle handlebars via Bluetooth and ANT+ connection.

It also has a function that can automatically notify people around you of your location in case of an emergency or transmit your current riding location in real time.

The 'Varia RTL 510', which is compatible with all of Garmin's Edge series, sends a warning message on the Edge screen along with a warning sound when a vehicle is approaching from behind. It can detect up to 153 yards (about 140 meters) behind.

Meanwhile, the tail light of the 'Varia RTL 510' has an excellent preventive safety function as it can illuminate up to 1 mile (approximately 1.6 km) at a 220-degree angle even during the day, making it easy for drivers behind to recognize riders. It can be used for up to 15 hours in daytime flash mode and up to 6 hours in nighttime flash mode.
