Establishment of Korea's First Keysight Joint Research Center
Proactive response to 5G and B5G, joint development of educational programs

Keysight Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with POSTECH (Pohang University of Science and Technology) Information and Communication Research Institute (Director Seo Young-ju) for the development and operation of educational programs in the fields of 5G, B5G (Beyond 5G), and IoT.

This memorandum of understanding is significant in that it aims to jointly develop and operate educational programs while proactively responding to 5G and B5G, which are core infrastructures of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

In addition, both companies are closely cooperating on the establishment of a joint research center and research within the POSTECH Institute of Information and Communications, and expect the Institute to serve as a 5G and IoT hub.
POSTECH's Information and Communication Research Institute plans to utilize Keysight's IoT training kits for training engineers in the IoT ecosystem. In addition, both companies will continue to collaborate on technology development in the fields of 5G and IoT.

"I am very pleased to have attracted the Keysight Joint Research Center, the first of its kind in Korea, to POSTECH," said Seo Young-ju, Director of the Information and Communication Research Institute at POSTECH. "Based on a continuous cooperative relationship in the future, we will establish a top-tier research and education environment in Korea utilizing Keysight solutions," he said.

Choi Jun-ho, CEO of Keysight, said, “I hope this MOU will not only enhance students’ practical research capabilities but also contribute to the future development of 5G and IoT technologies. Keysight plans to continue technology development and research with POSTECH so that we can become a leading company driving technology in the 5G and IoT fields.”

In addition, Ee Huei Sin, Vice President of General Measurement Solutions at Keysight, stated, “It is no exaggeration to say that the advancement and competitiveness of 5G and IoT technologies depend on talent development through education,” adding, “Through this collaboration, Keysight aims to contribute to fostering outstanding talent capable of leading the 5G and IoT fields.”
