Virtustream is making a full-scale entry into the Korean market. The dedicated cloud service for mission-critical applications, jointly announced by Dell EMC, Virtustream, and Samsung SDS, appears to reduce annual system downtime—a weakness of existing major cloud providers—by more than tenfold. The company announced that the service will launch on July 31, starting with the Suwon and Sangam IDCs.
Virtustream, which announced its full-scale entry into the Korean market at the press conference held on this day, is an enterprise cloud specialist equipped with unrivaled capabilities and proven expertise to help companies migrate mission-critical applications to the cloud.

Virtustream's 'xStream' is a cloud management platform for IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) that meets the stringent security, performance, and compliance requirements demanded by all clouds, including public, private, and hybrid. We currently operate more than 30 cloud centers distributed across over 30 regions worldwide, and recently, we have been expanding our global presence to the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan, Australia, and Korea.

As Virtustream Cloud is optimized for core enterprise workloads or mission-critical applications such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), it guarantees performance based on SLA (Service Level Agreement) as well as compliance, based on enterprise-level backup and disaster recovery capabilities and high security.

Virtustream Cloud for domestic customers is scheduled to launch services at the Seoul and Suwon data centers, respectively, starting in late July. Virtustream plans to establish a dedicated department composed of experts in Korea and conduct joint sales and marketing with Samsung SDS.
