Moxa announced the launch of the Moxa Remote Connect product family for OEMs and machinery companies requiring remote connectivity to maintain machinery at remote sites. This product family is a remote connectivity management platform consisting of server, client software, and hardware gateways that facilitate secure remote access. Moxa Remote Connect Server is a connection management platform that can be hosted on Amazon EC2, and Moxa Remote Connect Gateway securely connects Ethernet-based edge devices to the server portal. Finally, Moxa Remote Connect Client is a software tool that allows engineers' laptops to connect to the server portal.

This solution enables OEMs and machinery companies to conveniently and securely remotely connect to machinery, allowing for remote troubleshooting, maintenance, data collection, and equipment management, thereby facilitating faster and more intelligent maintenance support.

Easy installation
Using automatic configuration features, it can be easily installed via a “plug-and-play” method, and since there is no need to configure a VPN, professional IT knowledge is not required. Furthermore, there is no need to perform complex firewall settings or reconfigure IP addresses. Moxa Remote Connect prevents IP conflicts using smart IP mapping and is a firewall-friendly product that meets existing IT security policies. Therefore, customers requiring secure remote access can minimize the time and effort required for installation.

Security enhancement
To defend against various forms of security risks when collecting data from the Internet, Moxa Remote Connect is equipped with security features such as end-to-end encryption to prevent “man-in-the-middle” attacks. Intelligent protection features include a built-in firewall that allows remote access under the control of an allowed list without disrupting the local network. Additionally, device operators can maintain complete control over access to the device to provide on-demand maintenance services as needed.

Connectivity flexibility and scalability
The Moxa Remote Connect solution enhances flexibility by supporting various connection methods, such as one-to-one, many-to-many, and site-to-site, to meet diverse situations.
