Radvision Implements UC Solution for LG Display

Radvision (Country Manager Lee Min-woo, www.radvision.co.kr ), a specialist in integrated visual communication, announced that it has supplied its 'Scopia Elite 5000 Series' and 'Scopia Desktop Server' to LG Display (CEO Kwon Young-soo) and completed the construction of a personal PC video conferencing system and mobile communication infrastructure.

LG Display, which recently embarked on the construction of a Dream Office, has established an optimal work environment for its employees by connecting its Seoul headquarters with domestic and overseas business sites through the implementation of this UC solution, thereby reducing the time and spatial inefficiencies associated with traveling for business meetings and creating a perfect real-time collaboration environment.

An official from LG Display stated, “By achieving the UC work environment, which is a core strategy for building the Dream Office, work efficiency has increased through business continuity and rapid decision-making, and communication has been enhanced through on-site communication.”

Radvision's 'Scopia Elite 5000 Series' supplied this time is perfectly compatible with various devices such as hardware video conferencing equipment, software video conferencing solutions, and 3G mobiles, and can split the screen into up to 28 sections, the maximum in the industry. In addition, SVC (Scalable Video Coding) technology is applied to provide correction for image quality errors caused by packet loss in network conditions.

Scopia Desktop Server provides 720P HD high-definition video conferencing anytime, anywhere with just a PC and webcam through simple installation, and supports web-based document sharing and whiteboard functions implemented in H.239.

Furthermore, through Radvision's developers, the internal HR and EP systems are integrated to enable convenient user search. A PC video conferencing system is established within the EP to provide a one-click system that allows for meeting reservations, invitations, and attendance all at once. Additionally, by adding video conferencing integration features to the internal messenger—the most frequently used tool by employees—a foundation is laid that enables real-time meetings directly from one's desk using a laptop or PC, without the need to reserve or travel to a meeting room.
